Terracotta Tile Flooring
In Italian, terracotta means ‘baked earth’, which is unglazed, clay–based ceramic. The description is
also applied
to porous, red–colored glazed ceramics. Traditionally, terracotta has been used for centuries for a variety of uses
such as pottery and sculpture, roof shingles and bricks. Another significant application is its use in floor tiles.
Terracotta tiles, which look better as they age, add warmth and beauty to any room which makes them popular with homeowners.
